My name is Megan Ganter and I am the newly appointed principal at Pembroke Primary School.

It is a very exciting time to be a part of the Pembroke Community with the building works that have been completed this year. This offers brand new learning spaces for students as well as new adminstration areas, staffroom and a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) room. I have a background in Science and Technology and I am passionate about STEM learning because of the important 21st century skills that can be learnt through these subjects.

When selecting a school for your child, it is important to find a school that meets your families needs. Pembroke Primary School offers many unique opportunities for your child to reach their potential as a learner. We have a strong focus on the wellbeing of all students and staff to create a safe, engaging and happy place to come to school each day.

We have small class sizes so that individual attention may be given to all children by our committed and expert teachers and staff. We have teachers dedicated to literacy and numeracy support for those students who require extension and intervention.

Using the Victorian Curriculum, we focus on the teaching of English and Mathematics. Other learning areas such as History, Geography and Personal Capabilities are taught through engaging integrated units of work. We also provide specialist lessons in the Arts, Physical Education and STEM each week.

Additionally, we offer a range of extra extracurricular activities including lunchtime clubs and interschool sport. We have a lovely new chicken coop and gardening areas. Our Sporting Schools program offers a range of sporting activities, at the moment it includes latin dancing.

I encourage you to come and have a tour of Pembroke Primary School.

Yours in Education

Megan Ganter
