Principal's Welcome
Welcome!

We extend a warm welcome to your family and hope you will form a close and rewarding association with Pembroke Primary School and our community. It is a privilege to be the Principal of such a vibrant and caring school. At Pembroke, we believe that all students can learn and be successful. We aim to facilitate success in learning for all students, through meeting students at their point of need and we encourage all students to develop their full potential academically, emotionally, physically and socially. We are proud of our modern learning spaces which enhance our learning programs.

Our approach to behaviour management is based on the School Wide Positive Behaviour Framework. At Pembroke Primary School we have a strong emphasis on encouraging learners that are respectful, trustworthy and responsible. We have a strong focus on student leadership with our Year 6 Leadership program and Student Representative Council.
We have small class sizes so that individual attention may be given to all children by our committed and expert teachers and staff. We have a teacher under the Tutor Learning Initiative who supports students who require additional assistance.
Using the Victorian Curriculum, we focus on the teaching of English and Mathematics. Other learning areas such as History, Geography and Personal Capabilities are taught through engaging integrated units of work. We also provide specialist lessons in the Arts, AUSLAN, Physical Education and STEM each week.
We offer a variety of extracurricular activities including lunchtime clubs and interschool sport. We have a weekly gardening program. Our Sporting Schools program offers a range of sporting activities which change each term such as swimming, table tennis and volleyball.
I encourage you to come and see what Pembroke Primary School has to offer. Make an appointment (9725 6689) or drop in.
